Shepard Fairey, meet Dexter Morgan....

Hello again Bif Bang Pow! fans, and Dexter admirers. I have some exciting news to share with all of you, and it's just in time for the holidays. Remember waaaay back to San Diego Comic Con, July of '08? Think back if you can, of the super cool 'Dexter' campaign that our friends at Showtime came up with. Everywhere you looked down there (including the Entertainment Earth booth), you seemed to see the Shepard Fairey poster of Dexter Morgan. And because of that, we had hundreds of fans coming up to us asking where they could get their hands on one of the beauties. Well, the wait is over. Never let it be said that Bif Bang Pow! doesn't give the fans what they want.

Head over to Entertainment Earth right now, because a limited edition poster SIGNED by Shepard Fairey is available right now! This piece of art is extremely limited, and won't be available for long, so I suggest you put down the power tools, take off the rubber gloves and get ordering! I can't guarantee you'll look as cool as the fellow in this picture with your poster pinned up behind you, but you can try.

Power Saw to the people, people.

"Klytus, I'm bored. What plaything can you offer me today?"

Well, I'm glad you asked, Ming! Er, your highness. Mr.

After the success of Bif Bang Pow!'s 'Flash Gordon' Wave 1 figures of Flash and Ming, we got asked all year, "Hey, what about the rest of the gang? I want them all! I want to save the universe!" Ok, well maybe it doesn't get THAT serious, but never let it be said we here at BBP! Headquarters don't listen to the fans.

Wave 2 of our Alex Ross designed action figures from 'Flash Gordon' is now available for pre-order over at Entertainment Earth. They're made to Mr. Ross' exacting details, and the line up includes Flash in T shirt (which all good fans know debuted at San Diego Comic Con last summer), Prince Barin as portrayed by Timothy Dalton, Melody Anderson as Dale Arden and the inimitable Peter Wyngarde, as the sleaziest right hand man in sci fi, Klytus. All feature multiple points of articulation, exclusive new Wave 2 packaging, and Dale even comes with the floating security droid! (Floating ability sold separately). Hurry over now and get 'em while you can, they'll be as limited as Wave 1's Flash and Ming. Collect them all, and yes, Save the Universe!!

"Does the female form make you uncomfortable, Mr. Lebowski?"

Attention all Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (and Bif Bang Pow! fans)!

The wait is over, and another new character has been added to our Big Lebowski line: Maude Lebowski. Artist, philanthropist, one time (and I do mean ONE time) love of the Dude, and offspring of the Big Lebowski himself, Maude has been brought to three dimensional life as a brand new bobble head. Designed to the specifications of Julianne Moore herself, Maude is resplendent in her Brunhilda garb from the legendary dream sequence in 'The Big Lebowski'. (A Dude in his dream duds is on it's way too!). We're taking pre-orders NOW, so put the White Russian down and get ordering! Who knows how long Maude will make herself available to you? Just ask the Dude.....

Endorsement from Dex!

Hello fans-

As if any more proof were needed that Bif Bang Pow! products were sweeping the globe, Dexter himself, Michael C. Hall, has gone and given us a shout out in the new issue of Venice Magazine:

"VENICE: Have you seen this? (Hall is shown the all-new Dexter bobble head)
Michael C. Hall: Yeah. (Laughs), we had these at Comic-con. This is the limited edition one-he has a blue shirt. My mom was in town last weekend and I gave her a couple."

So there you go. If the Dexter bobble is good enough for MCH's mom, why haven't you ordered another one yet? Get moving, people!!

Just call him Angel.....

Hey BBP! fans! Lenzi here again, and it's officially October, the scariest and darkest month of the year, and my personal favorite. What better way to launch it than with a new product from our 'Dexter' license?

Angel Batista, member of the Miami Police Department and the closest thing Dexter Morgan has to a true friend, has now been added to the growing cast of bobble heads we're making for Showtime's hit series 'Dexter'. Featuring a stunning likeness of David Zayas (right down to his signature head gear), we think he makes a fine companion piece to the already hugely popular Dexter bobble heads you fans are loving so much. He's available RIGHT NOW for pre order, so hurry on over and get in line! The third season just started (and is Showtime's highest rated season premiere in history!) and there are more 'Dexter' characters on their way. When you see 'em, trust me- you'll want the whole set!

Bif Bang Pow! Bringing more killer products to the hungry masses. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.....)

Get your GEEK on, brothers and sisters!

Hey gang, Lenzi here again, continuing to spread the good gospel of Bif Bang Pow!

Our friends over at GEEK Magazine have once again had the good will (and, let's face it, good taste) to feature one of our fun products in their latest issue. In the PLAY section (naturally) of the October issue, you'll find the new action figure of Flash Gordon, quarterback, New York Jets, about to throw a pass to the best dressed presidential candidate since JFK, Senator Barack Obama. Ironically, or perhaps not, GEEK says that Alex Ross himself should design a new Obama action figure. Hey, doesn't he design the 'Flash Gordon' figures we make? He does! Man, we gotta get these two kids together!

GEEK is sold at all good news stands and book stores around the country, and if your local DOESN"T carry it, insist that they do. It's the coolest new mag out there, and is always full of pop culture goodness to keep us all in tune with the latest happenings. Thanks again GEEK, you make us proud!

P.S. Oh yeah, and um, get out and VOTE America!!

Dios Mio, man!

Jesus has arrived!

Hello BBP! fans, how's the summer treating ya? Well, it's about to get a whole lot better, because we here at the headquarters are proud as peacocks to announce that the long rumored, much requested Jesus Quintana bobble head is a go! We get lots of requests and questions from fans and customers from all over the world, but the one we get probably more than any other is: "When are you gonna make the Jesus?" And to those faithful followers I can finally say, NOW. Right now, as a matter of fact, so get on over to Entertainment Earth and pre-order one of these beauties immediately.

And if you don't, well, to quote Mr. Quintana, that's "Bush League psych out stuff. Laughable!"

Jesus es el hombre.

Praise be to Peter (David, that is....)

Best. Comic-Con. Ever.

Hello Bif Bang Pow! fans!-

How's everyone doing? Still recovering from the adventures in San Diego? I know we are, and while we do, I wanted to drop a line here on the 'ol blog that the kids love so much.

Face it, you folks are a pretty special bunch. Why? Because you're the ones who are spending time in the company of the coolest roster of personalities to come along from a toy company in years: Dexter Morgan, Jeffrey Lebowski, Scott Ian, and Ming the Merciless (not sure what his last name is, frankly....) to name a few. And if this year's San Diego Comic Con is anything to go by, alot of people are catching on to your instincts, 'cause more people got on the BBP! train than ever before.

All of our SDCC exclusives sold like the proverbial hot cakes, and the buzz for all our upcoming waves is reaching fever pitch. In fact, rumor has it that next year, the convention center won't be big enough to hold all of what Bif Bang Pow! has planned for it! Start booking your rooms now, folks.

So after all the blood, sweat and tears have dried, we'd like to take a moment and thank all of those special people that made it all worthwhile and made our chests puff out just a bit more: Showtime, Universal, King Features, Michael C. Hall, Julie Benz, David Zayas, Mr. Scott Ian, Esq., Sam J. Jones, Randy Couture, Mark Ecko, Mike Nelson and the guys from RiffTrax, John Landis, Peter David, Seth Green, Daniel Pickett and the gang at Action Figure Insider, Justin Aclin and Toy Fare Magazine and most of all, YOU. The fans that waited in line, got there early, bought two of each item, and took the time to pull us aside and thank us for doing what we're doing and praise our efforts. It means everything to us.

Bif Bang Pow! Today, Comic Con. Tomorrow? Muwahahahaha......!!!!

Where's Jesus? Where's the Supporting Cast?

Everyone is raving about Series 2 of The Big Lebowski action figures, and for good reason. The dynamic duo of The Dude and Walter sport new accessories, paint and clothing. And just WAIT until we show you what's coming for San Diego Comic-Con.

But everyone is still wondering - where are the other characters from the coolest movie of the 90s? Where is Jesus? Where is Donny? Let's put the rumors to rest once and for all. Donny (Steve Buscemi) IS coming in Series 3 late this Fall. The Stranger (Sam Elliott) IS coming in Series 3 late this Fall. Jesus (John Turturro)- is still in the works.

Even though we have the license to produce action figures from the film, we still need (through Universal Studios) to get permission from each actor. Ok, it's a little more complicated than that - but believe us, we hear you, and we're trying - 'cause we're big fans too!

Pimp my Flash!

Just to prove we've well and truly 'arrived' on the scene, here's a ringing endorsement from UK Flash Gordon fan, Guy (actually a pseudonym for 'pathetic earthling'), along with the result of his work:

"I'm awaiting series two with baited breath - in the meantime thought you might like to see my attempt at a Flash custom from his whip duel with Barin. He'll do until you make an exclusive..."

Thanks Guy! What about the rest of you? Any pics you wanna send in of BBP! figures "in action"?

The opinions are coming in...

"Just wanted to drop you a line and say congratulations on your Flash Gordon figure line (which finally hit UK specialty stores this month). It's one of my all-time favorite films and you guys have really outdone yourselves on the sculpting, paint and quality of these figures. And you gave Flash proper articulation! Please do the same for Prince Barin!" - Gordon A.

Listen to our Customers!

"You and your team's hard work is definitely paying off. Flash Gordon fans have been dying for collectibles for nearly thirty years, and BBP has made it worth the wait. I don't know that a line has captured an artist's style and actors' likenesses as perfectly as this series." - S Walden.

Iconic Endorsement

"As a company that has experienced 10 years of fighting to bring to market products from cult film and TV shows, we were only too aware of the struggle that lay ahead for Bif Bang Pow!. Well, the guys stuck with it – and thank God they did! The results are fantastic.

The first release of Ming and Flash are beautifully realized models of these two classic characters. They didn’t compromise along the way and their attention to detail and exhaustive research has really paid off.

If this is an indication of the quality of future releases, then I for one can’t wait!"

Cheers from Scott Ian...

"The thing that makes Bif Bang Pow figures so great is that they are being made from a fans point of view. Everything they do, every detail is spot on. Basically, they make the shit you want!!! Cheers, Scott" - Scott Ian, Anthrax

When Alex Ross talks, we listen...

"It's always satisfying when the final product you've collaborated on comes out as beautifully as I feel the Flash Gordon figures have. Bif Bang Pow! and Entertainment Earth put a lot of time and energy into making this product one of the more exciting payoffs of my interaction with toy-making." - Alex Ross

Joe Trohman Rocks with Bif Bang Pow!

"Bif Bang Pow! has already made some of the most amazing (and some of my favorite) toys I've come across in the past years. The attention to detail is amazing, and the fact of the matter is, they're fans of what you love, and they take it to the next level by making toys you genuinely want to have in your collection. They have the fans in mind, which is a huge deal." - Joe Trohman, Fall Out Boy

Flash Gordon Wave 2 Approaching!

Hello everyone, Jason Lenzi here again with some news many of you have been waiting for. After lots of discussions and much character debate, Wave 2 of our Flash Gordon: The Movie action figures are going into production. Alex Ross has feverishly toiled away on detailed design sheets for the next four (yes, four!) figures in the line. Wave 1 has been, by all accounts, a success, and folks are chomping at the bit to know about the next characters. We couldn't keep you in suspense much longer, so I get to spill the news. Wave 2 will consist of: Prince Barin-rightful heir to the throne of Mongo, and played by the dashingly handsome Timothy Dalton (star of two of the best Bond films ever made, and 'Hot Fuzz'); Dale Arden- played by the lovely Melody Anderson, Flash's main squeeze will be in her wedding dress from right off the poster; Klytus- Ming's Dr. Doom-ish right hand man, played with sleazy relish by Peter Wyngarde; and of course, Flash Gordon himself, this time in his iconic FLASH t-shirt. So now that you know, we suggest you pre-order these beauties right away, because Wave 1 is almost a distant memory (25 sets of Wave 1 remain - that's it folks). Get over to EE now! If you need any convincing, have a gander at Alex's drawing of Dale (coming soon...). Need we say more??

Rocker Scott Ian Inks Licensing Deal with Bif Bang Pow!

LOS ANGELES, CA – Scott Ian, co-founder and rhythm guitarist of the seminal heavy metal group Anthrax, just signed a licensing deal with toy company Bif Bang Pow! to produce action figures and bobble heads in his image. Following the company’s success with collectibles from films (The Big Lebowski and Flash Gordon: The Movie) and television (Showtime Network's Dexter), this marks BBP!’s first plunge into the world of rock and roll.

"I'm really excited to be working with Bif Bang Pow! on what is to be my first action figure," says Ian. "The same people that made the Lebowski figures want to make one of me. That's sick!!! No desk will be complete without one!"

Says Jason Lenzi, CEO of Bif Bang Pow!, "Scott Ian is obviously a legendary musician and well-known personality, but he's a genre fan as well. I think he's perfect for BBP!'s growing roster of unforgettable characters."

Working closely together, Bif Bang Pow! and Scott Ian have announced their first product, a bobble head, which can be pre-ordered now. The Scott Ian Bobble Head is scheduled to ship sometime this summer.

"Sometimes, there's a man....."

".....and I'm talkin' about the Dude here".

Now, didn't we mention just a while back that the coming weeks would be full of juicy Bif Bang Pow! news? As you may have noticed, a certain serial killer has just joined our illustrious ranks, and soon we'll be adding another name to the Pow! team, along with more characters and variants in Series 2 of our existing lines.

But for now, you'll just have to make due with the handsome fellow you see before you. Yup, the Dude's back, as our first new bobble head in over a year! He's dressed as the world first saw him, in the opening moments of 'The Big Lebowski', and is authentic in every way, right down to the tiled flooring. He's extra special, though, as he's our fourth (count 'em, fourth!) exclusive, this time, for the good folks over at He won't be up for sale for a little while yet, but we suggest you all tie strings around your index fingers as a reminder to keep checking their site. Cause that's the only place you'll find 'em, and we're thinking they'll go pretty fast.

"Well, he's a man for his time and place. And that's the Dude. The Dude, from Los Angeles."

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 20, 2008) – Showtime Networks Inc. has announced that it has awarded a licensing contract for their critically acclaimed original drama, Dexter, to manufacturer Bif Bang Pow!

"Donny, you're out of your element!"

Ah, who could forget those immortal words spoken by Walter in 'The Big Lebowski'? It's only one of the best lines in the film, and one we at the Bif Bang Pow! offices are proud of quoting on a near daily basis. And we have even more reason to celebrate it now, as we finally have a little three dimensional Donny to call our own. Yes folks, after a long gestation period, the late, great Donny Kerabatsos is going to be available as a brand new bobble head, the first new character we've added to our 'Big Lebowski' line up. We've captured his oblivious optimism perfectly, and think he'll make a fine addition to your growing collections. He's available right now for pre-order, so what are you waiting for?

Our Dude bobbles have been going like marmots in heat, so if I were you I wouldn't dilly-dally. There's lots more brewing at BBP! for 2008, the Official Tenth Anniversary of 'The Big Lebowski', so stay glued to this spot. Or as Donny would say, "I am the Walrus".

"We'd like to thank the Academy....."

Well, if this isn't the best way to kick off 2008! The toy fanatics over at the much loved 'Michael Crawford's Review of the Week' have just posted the results of their 2007 Poppies- the awards ceremony like no other. A board of nearly 100 folks from the world of toys (both in front of and behind the scenes) have voted in several different categories the toys and figures they thought were the best of the year. And we here at Bif Bang Pow! are incredibly proud to say we made the list! Not only did we make in into the voting, we took a prize: in the Category of Best Vinyl/Designer Figure, Walter from our 'Big Lebowski' line tied for second place! Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself. Between you and me, I think this beats the great 'Ordinary People' over 'Raging Bull' debate of the '81 Oscars, and is infinitely more significant than the labeling of Radiohead as 'Alternative' at the Grammys several years back. Being the new kids to the party, we take it as a ringing endorsement from peers and fans to get this kind of praise, and we promise we won't pull a Cuba Gooding, Jr. and screw it all up by making action figures from 'Megaforce'. Thanks again, MRW, we're already picking out our gowns for next year!

Ring in the New Year with a New Flash!

Jason Lenzi here with Happy New Year's wishes to all friends of BBP! Now, can you think of a better way to kick off what is sure to be a banner year than to announce our first exclusive for 2008? Me either, so here goes....We here at BBP! Headquarters are extremely proud to announce a Flash Gordon Exclusive: Flash Gordon with black deco and blaster! Yes, you read that right. Just when you think we can't give more attention to detail, we go and trump you by producing an all new version of our Flash Gordon action figure. A companion piece to our black deco-ed Ming, the new Flash Gordon is in his black lightening bolt shirt, with a different belt and buckle, and even cooler, an all new blaster rifle, modeled right off of the film prop! The good folks at Adventure-Con have nabbed him all to themselves, and he's extremely limited. He's available for pre-order right now, so get over to their site and get one-or two! Here's the link: But you better hurry, cause he's extremely limited at only 850 pieces. The regular versions are going like mad, and black Ming is flying off of the shelves, so I don't think New Flash will be around long. And you may be asking yourself at this point, how does Bif Bang Pow! do it? And will they ever run out of cool ideas? The answer, my friends, is blowing in the winds of 2008, so stay tuned! (And HOW did he just reference Dylan on this blog?? )
