Gordon's Alive!!

Image
Hey true believers-er, I mean, Bif Bang Pow-ers, Jason Lenzi coming at you with some more out of this world news (see what I did there?). Our boys, Mr. Gordon and Mr. Merciless, have gone and done it: they've made it onto a list of their own. Obviously a little tired and a fair bit jealous of all the press Lebowski and Sobchack have been getting of late, they've headed on over to the offices of Sci Fi Magazine and made their presence known. Yes folks, the warm vibes of the BBP train keep rolling through the ether, 'cause in the brand new October issue of Sci Fi Magazine (the official publication of the Sci Fi Channel, don't cha know) Flash and Ming action figures have placed in the top ten of their monthly Watch List. And look who we're rubbing shoulders with: JJ Abrams, Optimash Prime and Supes himself. Once again, we find ourselves in esteemed company, and we couldn't be more proud. Until, of course, all of YOU get your sets of Flash and Ming, when we'll r...

SCCC 2007: They came, they saw, they took the Dude..

Image
Hey True Believers and Achievers of all ages and sizes, Lenzi here, back at BBP headquarters after an exciting and fruitful Comic Con experience. Each year it seems to get more and more hectic down there, and 2007 was no exception. This was our first year with an exclusive, the Dude Talking Bobble head, and I'm happy to say it was a success. We sold out of him by Saturday! Now, fear not, because there's still a chance to get your grubby little hands on him, but ya have ta hurry. What little we have left are over at Entertainment Earth, so follow the link ( www.entertainmentearth.com) and snap one up. Or how's about getting two, Labour Day is coming up, I'm sure there's someone on your gift list that needs the Dude's words of wisdom. And while I'm at it, I should mention that our Alex Ross edition Flash and Ming are a limited run, so pre-order now! I also wanted to take a moment to thank as many folks as I can for making BBP's time down at SDCC a great ex...

Even The Jesus wants The Dude!

Watch this great interview of John Turturro by Leo "The Film Freak" Quinones . Even Jesus wants a Dude and Walter action figure. We kindly say to Mr. Turturro that dreams do come true - and you can even have your own Jesus figure too!

Bif Bang Pow!'s stuff is in 'Stuff'!!

Image
Hello everyone, Lenzi back again, with an exciting discovery. Seems the folks over at 'Stuff' magazine, (which, like me, I'm sure you just pick up for the fantastic articles) have gone and done what all intelligent and well read achievers do: they got on the Bif Bang Pow! train. Once again, Walter and the Dude (or El Duderino, if you're not into the whole brevity thing) have placed themselves on a list, the Hit List in the August issue of 'Stuff', to be exact. The editors have even managed to include a nice shot of Cynthia's dog (most likely not, in fact, a Pomeranian as previously stated elsewhere) over Walter's shoulder. So look for it at all good newsstands now, with the lovely Katharine McPhee on the cover. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to get my mitts on that pair. Wait, I meant the figures!! Come on!

Death, Taxes, and Unchecked Aggression

Image
Well, the Bif Bang Pow! love fest keeps rolling on. As if a nod of approval from New York magazine wasn't enough, our Urban Achiever Vinyl Dude and Walter have just been featured in the July/August issue of Death + Taxes magazine! We're number 2 on their list of 'Toys of Summer', and once again we're in good company with an unbreakable flask and a six pack of Newcastle. Hmmm, wonder if they're trying to tell us something....Anyway, run out and get your copy and be like the rest of the cool kids. It's a great magazine, and obviously it's editors have exceptional taste.

Lebowski takes Manhattan

Lenzi here again, with a bit more info for the masses. Now I don't want this blog to turn into 'Stan's Soapbox' or anything, but there's a little bit of Lebowski Buzz that's occured recently that we here at BBP have been too modest to mention. But gosh darnit, I think it's so flippin' cool that I can't contain myself any longer. In addition to the numerous websites, action figure magazines and comic publications that have been spreading the gospel of Bif Bang Pow! and it's two fantastic first properties in recent months, there's one notable publication that has put us on a map of a different kind. In the May 14th issue of New York Magazine, The Big Lebowski action figures made it onto their Approval Matrix, in the LOWBROW: BRILLIANT section, natch. And we here at BBP are bursting with pride. The Dude making it into the same category as the Sandman, Elliot Smith and 'Heroes'? I'd say, without hesitation, that we've definitely a...
