Hello Bif Bang Pow! fans, Lenzi here, with all the news for 2012.

It's the time of year when everywhere you turn, someone is giving you a run down of what was great about 2011 and what's going to make life worth living in 2012. Well, we're not going to take it quite THAT far, but as a public service announcement, we think you'll appreciate what we're alerting you to. If you thought 2011 was full of surprises and innovation, wait 'til you see what's coming!

We have had an amazing reception for our DOCTOR WHO retro range, ensuring more to come. Our next wave of figures is up for pre order right now, and if you thought our TARDIS 'bobble head' was innovative, you're going to love where we're taking characters from this license. We're also delving into other goodies, like a journal that's a replica of River Song's, glassware and more!

Design and sculpting for our two newest license announcements, THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, is happening as we speak, and you're going to be knocked out by the results! We feel it's been far too long since these iconic titles of the 70's have been adequately represented in collectible form, and we're just the guys to handle the job! Retro figures, bobble heads, collectible tins and more, it's going to be a retro 2012 in more ways than one.

Our TWILIGHT ZONE range keeps going strong, and surprising us every step of the way. Our third wave of retro figures is up for pre order, and our newest prop replica, the Mystic Seer Fortune Telling Machine, is going to hit the streets in January. There will be a regular edition and a very limited, black and white edition, signed by geek god William Shatner himself, the star of the classic 'Nick of Time' episode the piece came from. But hurry, these beauties are going to go fast!

We're also entering our third year with THE VENTURE BROTHERS, and due to over whelming fan support, we're hard at work on our third wave of characters for the retro figure range. We're also knee deep in plans for SDCC 2012 already (for ALL our licenses!), and Team Venture will figure prominently. And we're exploring a brand new category for the VB license, and we think you'll agree, it's 'about time' someone did!

Dexter Morgan is still causing trouble in 3 3/4" form from our DEXTER license, and Kenny Powers will be bobbling away from our EASTBOUND AND DOWN brand in new and more offending ways.

Whew! Is that enough for one toy company to be promising for the future? We think so. 2012 may not bring armageddon, but we just might be able to make the earth move a bit with our efforts. So hold on to something, because Bif Bang Pow! is shaking things up!

Geek Shall Inherit Podcast!

December 12, 2011 (Los Angeles)- Fandom and the action figure industry have joined forces to start a new podcast calledGeek Shall Inherit ( www.geekshallinherit.com) Jason Lenzi, CEO of toy company BifBangPow! (www.bifbanpow.com) and Daniel Pickett of ActionFigureInsider.com (www.actionfigureinsider.com) have joined forces to create a one of a kind podcast that will span the breadth of pop culture. This unique podcast will give fans insight into the how and why of the action figure world as well as catch them up with many other aspects of the pop culture universe in regular doses.

When Jason Lenzi founded BIF BANG POW! in 2005, the idea was to bring items to the marketplace that he himself would want to own. Cultivated from TV, movies, books, comics, music and more, for the past seven years, Bif Bang Pow! has been bringing high quality action figures, bobble heads, prop replicas and more to the massive cult audience that wishes these items were already in their collections. Lenzi is also a seasoned writer/producer in the television world and a long time voice over artist.

Daniel "Julius Marx" Pickett is the co-creator/co-owner of Action Figure Insider, a toy news site with a focus on the creators and process of making pop culture collectibles. He has been writing about toys for 10 years and has been collecting his whole life. He also consults with many toy companies on projects, hosts panel discussions at conventions, and answers questions from readers all over the world. Action Figure Insider has recently been featured on many other media outlets including Wired.com, MSNBC, NPR, and USA Today’s "Pop Candy" blog. Daniel is also a featured contributor to G4’s Attack of the Show on their action figure segment called “Mint On Card.”

“Daniel first brought up the possibility of doing something like this at Comic Con 2010,” said Lenzi when asked about the creation of the podcast. “We were doing an interview and riffing together and after it was over he mentioned the idea in passing as something we should do some day. Often times those sorts of asides don’t go anywhere, but I really liked the idea and kept asking him about it. One year later here we are!”

“Daniel and I already have a great relationship through BifBangPow! and Action Figure Insider. We have a history of having these epic, endless phone conversations about all things pop culture. We share information on movies and TV, we trade music and talk comics, and now, like it or not, we are sharing those conversations with the world,” said Lenzi.

“The podcast format seemed like a natural platform to dump out all this trivia and minutia that we carry around in our noggins,” said Pickett. ”Up until now we just used that knowledge to annoy our significant others. Hopefully there will be less of that at home now that we have an audience that will appreciate this sort of conversation.”

The podcast will start off simple with just Lenzi and Pickett. In the New Year there will be many “guest stars” on the podcast drawing from their vast contacts in the action figure, movie, comic book and music worlds. Along the way they will have contests, answer fans questions, agree on some topics, disagree on some subjects and agree to disagree on matters.

The first episode is live now on the website www.geekshallinherit.com. Fans will be able to subscribe via RSS at the site now, and they can expect it soon on iTunes. In addition to the podcast fans can find forums they can provide feedback, ask questions and suggest topics, find links to the GSI Twitter feed, Facebook page and even listen on your favorite mobile device.

Although some fans may want complete accuracy in our product lines - and as much as we are committed to that accuracy, we are also constrained by the realities of what we do. So many factors play into toy production that we can't always be everything to everyone. Case in point? Our upcoming Bigfoot action figure from The Six Million Dollar Man. Should it be 9 3/4 inches tall? Yes. But it will be 9 1/4 inches due to costing and format constraint issues of the 8-inch EMCE body. Just letting everyone know! Man Raises Concerns Over 'Serial Killer' Doll

We've been seeing some bits in the news lately about our 'Dexter' action figure being sold at Toys R Us, and rather than ignore what we feel is an unnecessary reaction, we thought it best to address what we feel is a double standard.

To clarify, Dexter is not a serial killer. He is a fictional character that happens to be a serial killer. In his fiction, he is a portrayed as a vigilante who kills bad people. The action figure we manufacturer of Dexter is marketed towards adults and is clearly labeled Adults Only 18+, Not Intended for Children. This would be different if Dexter was a real-live serial killer, but he's not. Again, he's a fictional character.

There are many examples of fictional characters that kill, and many of those characters are sold and specifically marketed towards children, unlike our Dexter products. For Example:

1. Edward Cullen, from the biggest story of the past few years - The Twilight Saga, is a murderer. He is actually a Barbie doll, and Mattel specifically markets this doll to children.

2. Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader is a mass murderer. He blew up an entire planet, exterminating billions of men, women and children in Star Wars: A New Hope. He also mass murdered Tusken Raiders in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and killed a young Jedi in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Star Wars toys are specifically marketed towards children.

3. The Joker, one of the most famous and beloved villains of all time from Batman, is a mass murderer. Joker toys are explicitly marketed towards children, We don't recall any uproar over millions of Joker figures being sold from 'The Dark Knight', where the body count was quite high for his victims.

4. And the list goes on and on. G.I. Joe (and their guns?), Aliens, The Terminator, etc.

All of the above fictional characters are sold at toy stores across the United States. The only difference is that our Dexter action figures are specifically labeled and clearly marketed towards adults only, while the other fictional characters are marketed towards children.

Greetings and salutations to all Bif Bang Pow! followers and believers of all shapes, ages and sizes! Well, as you've probably heard by now, we did it! Once again, we're bringing the people what we KNEW they always needed, toys for 'The Venture Brothers'! (If this keeps up, we'll finally give the world the James Bond action figure and vehicle line it's been dreaming of).

And just to prove this isn't some internet rumor, we even went as far as having the news printed in a magazine! Yes, the new issue of action figure bible Toy Fare Magazine hit the stands today (Issue #151), and in it you'll find an informative, witty and at times heartwarming interview with yours truly, which somehow manages to make me seem like I know what I'm talking about too! Pick it up, I dare ya, and see if I'm lying! Go on!

Truthfully, we have to admit to a bit of satisfaction when the news first broke, because for the first time in a long time, it was broken by a magazine. Not a website, not a blog, but a good old fashioned magazine, the way it used to be. And isn't that what we're all aiming for anyway? To take things back to the way they used to be? Flash Gordon and Ming "Mego" Style?

Happy holidays from the Bif Bang Pow! team. As you may know, we've released some fantastic Alex Ross designs of action figures from the iconic 1980s film Flash Gordon. At San Diego Comic-Con 2009, we revealed a prototype "Mego" style "retro" 8-inch Flash Gordon action figure that we could make. There has been some internal debate, however, that we'd like your opinion on.

If we made these action figures (Flash and Ming), what head sculpts should we use? We could make these figures using head sculpts based on the original 10inch design that Mego released in the 1970s, OR we could make all-new head sculpts based on the actors from the film. Hello Bif Bang Pow! fans and followers!

Jason Lenzi here, and I know it's been waaaay too long between posts, so apologies up front. Hopefully this message and all the gear we've been working on will somehow make up for our neglecting you these past few months.

Well, once again, Bif Bang Pow! was bigger and better this year at the 40th Anniversary of the San Diego Comic Con, and it seemed the fans just couldn't get enough! We had not one, not two, but EIGHT different exclusive SDCC items, from 'Dexter', 'The Big Lebowski','Flash Gordon' and our newbie, 'LOST', and the loyal BBP!-ers seemed to pick 'em all up! 'Dexter' definitely got most of the buzz, helped in no small part by creepy baby faces everywhere you looked and the hottest tote bag of the con, but Ben Linus and his bobbling, beat up little head wasn't far behind. We also got some great feedback on all the prototypes on display, and debuted our very first two character figures from 'LOST', Jack and Sawyer, and if reaction is anything to go by, they're going to join the ranks of other BBP! winners the Dark Defender and The Dude Unemployed and make a very special mark in the action figure world.

But as they seem to say in every Oscar acceptance speech, we certainly couldn't have gotten all of this accomplished by ourselves, so I'd like to thank: all the good people at Showtime for putting together such an amazing campaign and creating such buzz; Michael C. Hall, Julie Benz, Jennifer Carpenter, CS Lee, David Zayas, John Lithgow and James Remar for being the best, most fan friendly cast ever; the producers and licensing folks at ABC for getting Jack and his buddy out and onto the shelf; CBS for help with all things 'Twilight Zone'; Universal and Beanstalk for help with His Dudeness, and last but far from least, all the fans that came by to make purchases, check out our stuff, get pictures and blog about our merchandise, and take a few extra minutes to thank us for making some of their collecting dreams come true.

Ok, Bif Bang Pow! fans. I warned you that the news was going to come fast and furious in the next couple of months, and here's another doozy for you. It's time to debut the first two items from our 'Twlight Zone' collection: The Invader and The Mystic Seer! After much hard work and meticulous research, we're really excited at how they've turned out. Now, notice how I didn't call them 'bobble heads'? That's because we think slightly outside the box here at BBP!, which is probably why no office can hold us! While the Mystic Seer COULD technically be called a 'bobble head', because the little devil head does indeed 'bobble', we think you'll agree it's a unique item and way to present this iconic piece. As for the Invader, being a stocky little fellow, he 'bobbles' at the waist, for that "walking on an alien planet" action.

Hey folks, Jolly Jason Lenzi comin' at ya again, with more proof that the world is holding Bif Bang Pow! ever closer to it's collective bosom. It's been a while since I've written, but trust me, with all we have going on in the next few months, you'll get plenty sick of my witty prose soon enough.

First news item is, not one, but TWO of our new figures making the PLAY list again in GEEK Magazine! You read that right, the latest and greatest issue of the coolest magazine on the stands, the one that's all about the NEW 'Star Trek' flick and has JJ Abrams on the cover, features our very own Prince Barin and Dexter Morgan figures, facing off with Indiana Jones and John Connor! I mean, I love Indy, and we all know what a temper Mr. Bale has, but I think Barin's laser rifle (and spiked-platform fighting skills) and Dexter's, well, killing compulsion, would have the edge in an all out war. But heck! Let's just grab the new 'Star Trek' phasers featured on the same page and make it a free for all!

So, my advice: before it all kicks off, I'd boldly go over to Entertainment Earth and order Barin and Dexter, because soon it'll be too late. You have been warned.

NEW YORK, February 25, 2009 – CBS Consumer Products, a unit of CBS Entertainment, announced today an anniversary program to celebrate one of the most influential series of our time – The Twilight Zone. The program will begin with five licensing entities who will develop merchandise in celebration of the TV show’s 50th birthday. Products will include a broad array of items including games, dolls, keepsake ornaments and even a 50th anniversary commemorative stamp.

“The Twilight Zone has made a profound mark on entertainment and the world of pop culture at large,” said Liz Kalodner Executive Vice President and General Manager of CBS Consumer Products. “The merchandising program focuses on the iconic nature of the brand and will appeal to all generations of fans.”

CBS is especially proud that the United States Postal Service is creating a 50th Anniversary commemorative stamp slated for release in August 2009. Additionally, UK-based game maker Gamaka© has licensed the rights to manufacture both a new interactive trivia DVD game as well as a board game inviting fans to test their knowledge of the classic series. The announcement comes just on the heels of Toy Fair 2009, as both games are set to hit stores this fall.

Other licensees who have signed up to honor The Twilight Zone include:

Hey gang, Jason Lenzi here again, wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year (it's still ok to do that by the 14th, right?). Our pals over at WIZARD have gone and gotten us a surprise New Year's gift already, and we didn't get them anything! Not fair guys, we're embarrassed.

But not too embarrassed to share the good news with the rest of you! In the latest issue (# 208) of WIZARD, (THE pop culture bible, fans), they've put the Dude and Walter on their super cool NEXT! list. Yep, the magazine lists our Urban Achiever Big Lebowski Wave 2 and 3 as must haves, and our boys are rubbing shoulders with some of the coolest cats in the zeitgeist: DC Heroes, Marvel Heroes, and half nekkid girls like Sinful Suzi. And why not? According to the WIZARD gang, the Dude and Walter "could see no better interpretation than these exaggerated figures". Had we said that ourselves, we would've seemed big headed, so thanks WIZARD!

Remember waaaay back to San Diego Comic Con, July of '08? Think back if you can, of the super cool 'Dexter' campaign that our friends at Showtime came up with. Everywhere you looked down there (including the Entertainment Earth booth), you seemed to see the Shepard Fairey poster of Dexter Morgan. And because of that, we had hundreds of fans coming up to us asking where they could get their hands on one of the beauties. Well, the wait is over. Never let it be said that Bif Bang Pow! doesn't give the fans what they want.

Our friends over at GEEK Magazine have once again had the good will (and, let's face it, good taste) to feature one of our fun products in their latest issue. In the PLAY section (naturally) of the October issue, you'll find the new action figure of Flash Gordon, quarterback, New York Jets, about to throw a pass to the best dressed presidential candidate since JFK, Senator Barack Obama. Ironically, or perhaps not, GEEK says that Alex Ross himself should design a new Obama action figure. Hey, doesn't he design the 'Flash Gordon' figures we make? He does! Man, we gotta get these two kids together!

How's everyone doing? Still recovering from the adventures in San Diego? I know we are, and while we do, I wanted to drop a line here on the 'ol blog that the kids love so much.

Face it, you folks are a pretty special bunch. Why? Because you're the ones who are spending time in the company of the coolest roster of personalities to come along from a toy company in years: Dexter Morgan, Jeffrey Lebowski, Scott Ian, and Ming the Merciless (not sure what his last name is, frankly....) to name a few. And if this year's San Diego Comic Con is anything to go by, alot of people are catching on to your instincts, 'cause more people got on the BBP! train than ever before.
