Happy New Year!

Hello Bif Bang Pow! fans, Lenzi here, with all the news for 2012.

It's the time of year when everywhere you turn, someone is giving you a run down of what was great about 2011 and what's going to make life worth living in 2012. Well, we're not going to take it quite THAT far, but as a public service announcement, we think you'll appreciate what we're alerting you to. If you thought 2011 was full of surprises and innovation, wait 'til you see what's coming!

We have had an amazing reception for our DOCTOR WHO retro range, ensuring more to come. Our next wave of figures is up for pre order right now, and if you thought our TARDIS 'bobble head' was innovative, you're going to love where we're taking characters from this license. We're also delving into other goodies, like a journal that's a replica of River Song's, glassware and more!

Design and sculpting for our two newest license announcements, THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, is happening as we speak, and you're going to be knocked out by the results! We feel it's been far too long since these iconic titles of the 70's have been adequately represented in collectible form, and we're just the guys to handle the job! Retro figures, bobble heads, collectible tins and more, it's going to be a retro 2012 in more ways than one.

Our TWILIGHT ZONE range keeps going strong, and surprising us every step of the way. Our third wave of retro figures is up for pre order, and our newest prop replica, the Mystic Seer Fortune Telling Machine, is going to hit the streets in January. There will be a regular edition and a very limited, black and white edition, signed by geek god William Shatner himself, the star of the classic 'Nick of Time' episode the piece came from. But hurry, these beauties are going to go fast!

We're also entering our third year with THE VENTURE BROTHERS, and due to over whelming fan support, we're hard at work on our third wave of characters for the retro figure range. We're also knee deep in plans for SDCC 2012 already (for ALL our licenses!), and Team Venture will figure prominently. And we're exploring a brand new category for the VB license, and we think you'll agree, it's 'about time' someone did!

Dexter Morgan is still causing trouble in 3 3/4" form from our DEXTER license, and Kenny Powers will be bobbling away from our EASTBOUND AND DOWN brand in new and more offending ways.

Whew! Is that enough for one toy company to be promising for the future? We think so. 2012 may not bring armageddon, but we just might be able to make the earth move a bit with our efforts. So hold on to something, because Bif Bang Pow! is shaking things up!

From all of us here at BBP! Headquarters, we want to wish you all the best for the holidays, and a happy and healthy New Year. Stay safe, because you're going to want to be well enough to play with all these toys!

All the best,

JL

Geek Shall Inherit Podcast!

December  12, 2011 (Los Angeles)-  Fandom and the action figure industry have joined forces to start a new podcast calledGeek Shall Inherit ( www.geekshallinherit.com) Jason Lenzi, CEO of toy company BifBangPow! (www.bifbanpow.com) and Daniel Pickett of ActionFigureInsider.com (www.actionfigureinsider.com have joined forces to create a one of a kind podcast that will span the breadth of pop culture. This unique podcast will give fans insight into the how and why of the action figure world as well as catch them up with many other aspects of the pop culture universe in regular doses.
When Jason Lenzi founded BIF BANG POW! in 2005, the idea was to bring items to the marketplace that he himself would want to own.  Cultivated from TV, movies, books, comics, music and more, for the past seven years, Bif Bang Pow! has been bringing high quality action figures, bobble heads, prop replicas and more to the massive cult audience that wishes these items were already in their collections. Lenzi is also a seasoned writer/producer in the television world and a long time voice over artist.
Daniel "Julius Marx" Pickett is the co-creator/co-owner of Action Figure Insider, a toy news site with a focus on the creators and process of making pop culture collectibles.  He has been writing about toys for 10 years and has been collecting his whole life.  He also consults with many toy companies on projects, hosts panel discussions at conventions, and answers questions from readers all over the world.  Action Figure Insider has recently been featured on many other media outlets including Wired.com, MSNBC, NPR, and USA Today’s "Pop Candy" blog. Daniel is also a featured contributor to G4’s Attack of the Show on their action figure segment called “Mint On Card.”
“Daniel first brought up the possibility of doing something like this at Comic Con 2010,” said Lenzi when asked about the creation of the podcast. “We were doing an interview and riffing together and after it was over he mentioned the idea in passing as something we should do some day. Often times those sorts of asides don’t go anywhere, but I really liked the idea and kept asking him about it.  One year later here we are!”
“Daniel and I already have a great relationship through BifBangPow! and Action Figure Insider. We have a history of having these epic, endless phone conversations about all things pop culture.  We share information on movies and TV, we trade music and talk comics, and now, like it or not, we are sharing those conversations with the world,” said Lenzi.
“The podcast format seemed like a natural platform to dump out all this trivia and minutia that we carry around in our noggins,” said Pickett.  ”Up until now we just used that knowledge to annoy our significant others.  Hopefully there will be less of that at home now that we have an audience that will appreciate this sort of conversation.”
The podcast will start off simple with just Lenzi and Pickett.  In the New Year there will be many “guest stars” on the podcast drawing from their vast contacts in the action figure, movie, comic book and music worlds. Along the way they will have contests, answer fans questions, agree on some topics, disagree on some subjects and agree to disagree on matters.
The first episode is live now on the website www.geekshallinherit.com.  Fans will be able to subscribe via RSS at the site now, and they can expect it soon on iTunes.  In addition to the podcast fans can find forums they can provide feedback, ask questions and suggest topics, find links to the GSI Twitter feed, Facebook page and even listen on your favorite mobile device.

Size Matters #SMDM #Bigfoot #SixMillionDollarMan

Although some fans may want complete accuracy in our product lines - and as much as we are committed to that accuracy, we are also constrained by the realities of what we do.  So many factors play into toy production that we can't always be everything to everyone.  Case in point?  Our upcoming Bigfoot action figure from The Six Million Dollar Man.   Should it be 9 3/4 inches tall?  Yes.  But it will be 9 1/4 inches due to costing and format constraint issues of the 8-inch EMCE body.  Just letting everyone know!  Pre-orders for  The Six Million Dollar Man product line will begin in late 2011.

Bif Bang Pow! Launches Battlestar Galactica Line for NBCUniversal!

Bif Bang Pow! and NBCUniversal Announce a New Line of
Action Figures, Bobble Heads, and Collectibles Based on the Legendary Sci-Fi Series

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 6, 2011) - Bif Bang Pow! and NBCUniversal announce a new partnership to launch a brand-new line of toys and collectibles based on the legendary sci-fi television series Battlestar Galactica.

Based on the "classic" series that first aired on network TV in 1978, the Battlestar Galactica collection from Bif Bang Pow! will feature an array of articulated retro action figures, as well as bobble heads, each guaranteed to have fans looking over their shoulders for Cylons as they imagine themselves back aboard the Galactica.  Various fan-demanded Battlestar Galactica themed collectibles such as license plate frames, tin boxes, coasters, snow globes, and glassware will be produced as well.

Reminiscent of the bestselling "Mego" style action figures of the 1970s and 1980s, Bif Bang Pow!'s amazing line of classic Battlestar Galactica action figures will continue a successful partnership with EMCE Toys, the team responsible for bringing that classic style back since 2006.  These figures will stand 8-inches tall and include episode-specific fabric clothing, in addition to multiple points of articulation.

"I'm delighted to announce this exciting new line of classic Battlestar Galactica action figures, bobble heads, and collectibles," said Jason Lenzi, CEO of Bif Bang Pow!.  "As a Battlestar Galactica fan from the airing of the feature-length pilot back in '78, I can't wait to bring Cylons, Ovions, Starbuck, Apollo, Adama, and others to 3-dimensional life for BSG fans new and old.  There's no better time to reintroduce the world to the fun of the original series and its fantastic designs and characters."

"Battlestar Galactica continues to be one of our most enduring franchises and we're very happy to be working with Bif Bang Pow! to bring the classic versions of these iconic characters to diehard collectors everywhere," said Chris Lucero, Director of Global Licensing for NBCUniversal Television.  "Fans have been demanding new toys and collectibles from the classic series for years and together with our partners at Bif Bang Pow!, we can now respond with a very enthusiastic, 'by your command!'"

Battlestar Galactica (BSG) is an immensely popular franchise of television series and sci-fi films, the first of which aired in 1978.  Books, comic books, and video games followed.  In Battlestar Galactica, The Twelve Colonies - a civilization of human beings in a far-off sector of the universe - are at war with the cybernetic Cylons.  The Cylons lay waste to The Colonies, decimating their worlds and populations, and the survivors flee aboard any spacecraft they can find, including the Battlestar Galactica, the only military ship in the Colonial Fleet to survive the Cylon attack.  Battlestar Galactica's renowned commander and his crew then lead the ragtag flotilla of survivors in search of a new home, the mythical planet Earth

Bif Bang Pow! Inks Deal with NBCUniversal to Produce Action Figures, Bobble Heads, and Collectibles Based on The Six Million Dollar Man

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 6, 2011) - Bif Bang Pow! fans now have six million more reasons to continue and expand their loyalty as the manufacturer announces a new partnership with NBCUniversal that will bring to market a brand-new line of toys and collectibles based on the iconic 1970s television series The Six Million Dollar Man.

Bif Bang Pow!'s Six Million Dollar Man collection will present an array of articulated retro action figures and bobble heads of fan-favorite Col. Steve Austin and other memorable characters, as well as a number of Six Million Dollar Man themed collectibles like license plate frames, tin boxes, coasters, snow globes, and glassware.

Reminiscent of the bestselling "Mego" style action figures of the 1970s and 1980s, Bif Bang Pow!'s amazing line of Six Million Dollar Man action figures will continue a successful partnership with EMCE Toys, the team responsible for bringing that classic style back since 2006. These figures will stand 8-inches tall and include episode-specific fabric clothing, in addition to multiple points of articulation.

"Bif Bang Pow! is excited to bring these brand-new The Six Million Dollar Man action figures, bobble heads, and collectibles to loyal fans of the celebrated TV series everywhere," said Jason Lenzi, CEO of Bif Bang Pow!. "It's been a long, long time since the world's been given collectibles of the original Col. Steve Austin, a "man barely alive." With a nod to the past, we'll be releasing truly unique retro-styled items that will thrill fans of The Six Million Dollar Man. I've wanted such high-quality, series-true toys for years now, and I'm proud to say we're the company finally bringing them to fruition. Better than they were before. Better, stronger, and maybe even faster!"

"We're thrilled that Bif Bang Pow! has partnered with us to help bring Col. Austin back to life once more," said Chris Lucero, Director of Global Licensing for NBCUniversal Television. "With its history of great-looking toys and its unbridled passion for The Six Million Dollar Man property, we're positive that Bif Bang Pow! has the technology to make this array of classic television collectibles truly look like a million dollars... make that six million dollars!

RustyVentureToyClub.com

The new Venture Bros. 3 3/4-inch action figure line is a massive pursuit, so Bif Bang Pow! is teaming up with Entertainment Earth and EE Distribution in order to make this project happen.

Your pre-order for these characters has never been more important! We need to hit a certain number of pre-orders before we can throw the switch for these figures to start production, and that's where you come in! Just pre-order the figures from this list or ask your favorite comic and toy shops to order the figures for their store. Your credit card will not be charged until the figures arrive in 2012-- provided we meet the order goal-- and then you'll be able to have been a part of Venture Industries history!

These figures sport 10 points of articulation and unlike our retro action figures, are 100% original and new sculpts. The factories require a large commitment, and that's why we wanted to let you know that your pre-orders are so important to making this line a reality.

These figures will not be produced unless pre-orders meet our targets. If you want Brock Samson, Phantom Limb, or even Hank and Dean, show your support with a pre-order. No character is "safe". The shape of the line is entirely within your hands! Do you want to pre-order all 7 characters? Just order this set of 5 characters plus Brock and The Monarch separately. All orders must be placed by October 31, 2011. At this time we'll tally our orders and we will make an announcement on how the line will proceed by November 30, 2011. Go team Venture!

"It's Mystical.... It's Magical... It's Completely Out Of My Price Range..."

Read this review about our new Mystic Seer Signature Edition - We love it!

Thanks to one of our biggest fans, Craig Beam, for not being too harsh on us! Just know that we HAD to make this item, and we had to convince Mr. Shatner to sign it. He's never signed or been involved with any Twilight Zone merchandise before, so this was our big chance. And talk about a dream come true. He came to our booth to meet us. We didn't have to wait in any line to meet him! True story - he said that he wished us well in our "Enterprising" business.

Crack open that piggy bank and pre-order yours today!. Limited to just 150 pieces!

2011 Comic-Con Exclusive #4 Revealed. William Shatner is Bob Wilson and Don Carter!

Everyone has been asking if we would be making a William Shatner version of our 8-inch scale "Mego" style retro EMCE action figures representing the two The Twilight Zone episodes he starred in, “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” and “Nick of Time.” We confirmed that the answer was yes a few weeks back on Twitter. But there's more to the story...

At first we were contemplating releasing two separate action figures on our standard blister cards. But we felt that these characters were way too special, way to unique to be just another two figures in our standard product line. So we decided to combine Mr. Shatner's two iconic performances into one fantastic Deluxe boxed set. This set comes with one EMCE action figure body along with clothing and accessories so you can recreate William Shatner’s image from both of the episodes he starred in.

Let's talk about the head sculpt. It's new. All-new. Newly approved by William Shatner himself. The artist is one of the top that we've ever used and we think this likeness is perfect.

We are THRILLED to officially announce this amazing item! Order your set today, or stop by the Entertainment Earth booth #2343 at the San Diego Comic-Con 2011 to get yours FIRST.

LOS ANGELES, CA - Bif Bang Pow! and BBC Worldwide today announce a new partnership that will bring to market a brand-new line of toys and collectibles based on the incredibly popular television series Doctor Who. The license covers all eras of the show from 1963 through to the present day. Currently aired on BBC America, Doctor Who's latest season delivered BBC America record ratings and reached the top spot on the iTunes TV chart.

One of the most highly sought after licenses from the BBC Worldwide portfolio, the Doctor Who collection from Bif Bang Pow! will feature an array of articulated retro action figures and playsets, along with bobble heads, each embodying that distinctive look and feel of the longest-running sci-fi TV series in the world. The first arrivals are planned for summer 2011, and various fan-demanded Doctor Who themed collectibles such as license plate frames, journals, tin boxes, coasters, magnets, and glassware will materialize as well.

Reminiscent of the best-selling "Mego" style action figures of the 1970s and 1980s, Bif Bang Pow!'s amazing line of Doctor Who action figures will continue a successful partnership with EMCE Toys, the team responsible for bringing that classic style back since 2006. These figures will stand 8-inches tall and include episode-specific fabric clothing, in addition to multiple points of articulation.

For the first time ever, bobble heads of the most popular and recognizable Doctor Who characters are also on their way.

"Bif Bang Pow! is thrilled to bring these brand-new Doctor Who action figures, bobble heads, and collectibles to market," said Jason Lenzi, CEO of Bif Bang Pow! "The Denys Fisher range of 9-inch action figures from the 1970s was never released in the United States, and has become one of the most highly sought after toy lines of the past 40 years. Doctor Who bobble heads have never been made for any market, so we have the opportunity to offer these highly desired products to a whole new fan-base that never had the chance to purchase them before. Personally, I've been waiting for this since 1978, so as The Doctor would say, it's about time!"

Retailers and press can see a selection of Bif Bang Pow!'s upcoming product line at New York Toy Fair, February 13-16, 2011, at booth #4813.

About EMCE Toys
The EMCE Toys brand (pronounced "em-see") was founded to bring playability back to toys. Inspired by the original action figure company, Mego Corp., we strive to craft quality, durable action figures, playsets, and collectibles that recreate the sense of fun that toys were originally made for. Our launch lines are either licensed reproductions of original Mego toys and packaging, or original creations modeled after the classic lines of the 1970s and early 1980s. EMCE is proud to have the active input and cooperation of Marty Abrams, founder of Mego and father of the modern action figure. We hope to continue to honor his legacy with our work. We have also been honored to incorporate the talents of veteran artist Harold Shull, original illustrator of Mego's classic and distinctive packaging from the 1970s. As we continue to extend this kind of inclusion of the original Mego teams, we get closer to our goal of bringing Mego back as a viable toy company in all but name. EMCE was created by veteran pop culture entrepreneur Joe Sena, President of SphereWerx, LLC, and craftsman Paul "Dr. Mego" Clarke.
